A few weeks I was watching the news at 6am and saw Google was planning on finding a test town for a new internet connection. They plan on speeding up connection speeds 100x faster than the highest speed now.

We are talking about surfing at the speed of light, well close enough anyway. The advantage is being able to move mass amounts of information very quickly. Downloading movies can take a minute and that huge program can take seconds.

It might be a downloaders dream but to a business man that uses the net for work it awesome! Being able to connect faster ,update faster, and surf faster is important for web work. Can you imagine opening a page in sec rather than a minute or two.

Just yesterday I read a story about a webmaster that uses high speed at work and dial up at home. She said to work at home was hard and she would let pages load while she would cook supper or wash dishes. Just getting on Facebook was tough and updating impossible.

I could see how someone that only knows dial up would have a hard time with real time surfing. You thought than technology was super fast, you better hang on because Google is about to set it on fire!
